Harness Your Emotional Intelligence to Drive Career Success
Want to get ahead in your career? Ready to build stronger, more effective relationships with your team and your managers? This workshop is for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re an entrepreneur, if you work for a larger company, or somewhere in between.
No matter what professional path you’re on, your success relies heavily on how well you understand the people around you and how well you collaborate with them. This ability is called your emotional intelligence (EQ).
“While IQ may get us a job, it is our EQ that determines how quickly we advance and are promoted…A great deal of our success in life comes from the level that we are able to connect with others.” -Fast Company
Yes, you need to be knowledgeable and good at what you do. But you also need to be able to connect effectively with the people you rely on. The great news is that emotional intelligence is something you can build on throughout your entire life. Each interaction is an opportunity to better connect, and every productive interaction leads toward your success.
Join us September 16 from 8:30-12:30 at the Hannah Grimes Center in Keene, New Hampshire. We’ll explore easy-to-apply principles that will help you tap into your EQ strengths, stretch outside your comfort zone, and have better interactions with all the key players in your organization.
Here are some of the benefits you’ll walk away with. You’ll be able to:
- Stand your ground in the face of opposition
- Establish and maintain valuable relationships
- Build empathy and compassion
- Separate facts from emotion
- Project confidence in your ideas and emotions
- Influence the people around you
- Exercise diplomacy, even under stress
- Stay open to the ideas of others
- Get more buy-in for your suggestions
In short, you will be able to work well with anyone by simply stretching to new mindsets. This is a workshop you don’t want to miss. Register today and use EQ to drive your career success!
An EQ Case Study
Despite previous success as a manager, new business owner Lydia was struggling to manage her own team. She felt she was delivering clear directives, but her employees seemed to lack direction. Communication within the business often took a negative turn.
When Lydia attended our workshop to learn how to harness her emotional intelligence, she quickly realized that a change within herself could be the key. She discovered that with increased listening and empathy, she would be better able to understand where her team members were coming from and get to the source of the problem.
By taking time to listen, Lydia was able to identify the competing priorities her employees were facing, and collaboratively, they sorted out the obstacles. Lydia saved time, energy (and her sanity), and the team began to excel. It took one simple shift in mindset for Lydia to remove the negative roadblocks holding her business back and reset her course for success.
